Hello 2025!
After a nice little hiatus for the holidays, I’m coming into 2025 inspired, clear, and excited about what’s on the horizon for 2025.
One of the ways I love to spend December is by reflecting on the past year and playing a game with myself to see how I can use this somewhat arbitrary start of a new year as a reason to expand my vision and capacity for the kind of abundance I can hold in all areas of my life.
So, I thought it might be fun to share with you what came out of this powerful process for me as we head into the new year.
2024 was a year of clarity for me. It wasn’t always easy (is it ever?), but the challenges were great teachers.
So, I want to start by sharing three lessons that shifted how I approach my business—and my life. These aren’t just strategies; they’re mindsets that I believe can help all of us create more impact and ease in our work.
Here are three pivotal lessons that shaped my approach to business and leadership last year:
1. Do Less, Better
If there’s one mantra that kept showing up for me in 2024, it’s this: Focus on fewer things and do them exceptionally well. Like many of you, I used to spread myself too thin, saying yes to too many projects and juggling all the hats. But here’s what I realized: being busy doesn’t equal being impactful.
When I started focusing on just a handful of priorities—the ones that aligned most with my values and goals—everything changed. Not only did I see better results, but I felt more at peace. If you’re juggling too much, take a step back. What’s actually moving the needle in your business? What could you let go of to make space for what truly matters?
2. Evolve or Die
Okay, maybe that sounds a little dramatic, but hear me out. The pace of change in business—especially with innovations like AI—forced me to look at my business differently last year. What worked in 2020 doesn’t necessarily work now. I had to adapt my offerings, reposition my message, and embrace new tools to stay aligned with the future I want to build.
You may want to ask for yourself: Are there parts of your business that feel stale? What’s no longer serving you or your clients? Growth doesn’t always mean adding; sometimes, it means letting go.
3. Value Your Time
This one hit me hard. For so long, I treated my time like it was endless, saying yes to all the opportunities that sounded good and overworking as a result.
But an obvious truth that in my 40’s is becoming more crystalized: that time is the most precious resource we have.
Last year I did this really powerful exercise to see the actual value of my time that I needed to be generating if I wanted to hit my income goals within the time constraints I placed on that.
It was eye-opening.
Clearly how I’ve been operating isn’t going to work for where I want to go. Good insight, and now it’s time to put into action strategies to solve for that and operate in a whole new way.
So what’s the plan for 2025:Go deep, not wide.
This year is about mastery, purpose, and intentionality. Here’s how that’s shaping my goals:
1. Play the Infinite Game
Instead of focusing on short-term success metrics, I’m choosing to focus on the long game. I’m focusing on the rhythms, rituals, and habits vs. the results and committing to the ongoing cycles of infinite improvement around the things I’m going deep on.
2. Bold-Big Energy
This year, bold, big energy is the vibe..
Owning my expertise on a whole new level.
Setting boundaries unapologetically around where and with who I’m spending my time,
Aligning my offers, prices and messaging with the value I bring to the table.
This isn’t about ego; it’s about honoring my journey and the cumulative value that I’ve built and am building over my career.
I’m really excited to play with this this year. I likely won’t always get it right ,and things might not come across perfectly as I find my voice in this up leveled identit,y and I’m totally ok with that.
3. Mastery
This year, I’ve committed to going dee,p not wide, which means focusing on a few key goals:
Here Are 3 personal & 3 business That I’m Going All In On
Personal:
- Work with a health coach
This past year I dealt with some perimenopause health challenges. It sucked. I don’t want my health to be something that’s ok. This year I’m going to invest in working with a health team and creating a whole health routine to optimize my health at this age and stage of life.
- Get good at golf
I’ve played golf for years but it kind of looks like me playing a few times a year, some pitch and putt or going to the driving range a bit. In alignment with my theme of Mastery this year I want to get good. I want to use golf as a fun outlet to master a physical skill. Wish me luck!
- Buy a home I love in the neighborhood I love with Ryan
This one feels like a stretch goal to claim not only do I want to buy a house I love but I don’t want to compromise on the neighborhood. What’s interesting about declaring this is it’s given my revenue and income goals this year a whole other purpose. It’s been A LONG time since I’ve felt really grounded in a home and it’s time.
Business:
- Launch A New Signature Offering
Last year was a year of evolution inside of my business. Evolving positioning, offers, and who I’m serving. With all of that deep work creating a ton of clarity, I can’t wait to launch a new signature offer this Spring. Sneek peak… it’s called Legacy Builders 🔥
- Introduce The Soulful CEO Shop
I have sooo many great trainings, resources, and done-for-you templates and tools that I’ve built for my programs and clients over the years. This year I’ve decided to pull out some of my best ones from The Soulful CEO Vault and make them accessible to you as low-ticket products.
- Streamline My Systems
Do less, better. Is my mantra for this year for myself inside of my business. And I know systems, structure, and the use of AI is going to give me the space to have more flow and time. So it may not look like the most exciting goal on paper, but when you see me hitting my $500k revenue target at 80% profit margins for the year dialling in my systems will be the main reason I got there.
So that’s what’s going on over here. I’d love to hear what you’re lit up about.
